Rail Derailment: Dhaka-Narayanganj rail service halted

Rail service on Dhaka-Narayanganj route is suspended following a derailment of a train at the rail-gate number 2 area in Narayanganj.

The incident took place around 11:40 am on Thursday (September 24).

Golam Mostafa, station master of Narayanganj railway said, “Four bogies of a passenger train were derailed causing the train service to be snapped.”

“Rescue team is on the way to recover the train. The rail communication will be restored soon,” he added.
