1348 policemen transferred to Cox`s Bazar

Cox's Bazar district police is being reorganized. For this, from the officer-in-charge to a constable has been transferred in Cox's Bazar.

As of Friday (September 25), the number of transfers stood at 1,347.

Cox's Bazar's new Superintendent of Police Hasanuzzaman confirmed this.

Among the transferred policemen, eight are top officers, 53 inspectors, 139 sub-inspectors (SIs), 92 assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs) and 1,055 naibs and constables.

According to the police headquarters, 139 SIs, 92 ASIs, 1,055 naibs and constables were transferred to different ranges on Friday. Earlier on Thursday, 53 inspectors were transferred.

According to police sources, 53 police inspectors, 215 SIs, ASIs and 734 constables are joining the Chattogram Range DIG's office on Friday to fill the vacancies.

Meanwhile, on September 18, Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police (SP) ABM Masud Hossain was transferred as Rajshahi Superintendent of Police. Jhenaidah SP Hasanuzzaman was given the charge of Cox's Bazar district police. The new SP took charge on Wednesday. On Thursday, SP Masud Hossain left Cox's Bazar.

On September 21, six other top officials, including the Additional Superintendent of Police, were transferred.
