BCL leader stabbed in Cox’s Bazar

Miscreants have sabbed a local leader of Bangladesh Chattra League (BCL) in Cox’s Bazar.

He was known as Shakhawat Hossain, former general secretary Cox’s Bazar Government College BCL unit.

The incident took place near the college on Thursday (September 24) night.

Shakhawat was firstly admitted to Cox’s Bazr Sadar Hospital. Later, he was referred to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) on Friday (September 25) morning.

Masum Khan, Inspector of Cox’s Bazar Model Police Station, confirmed the news.

Cox’s Bazar district BCL President Ishtiaq Ahmed Joy claimed that a group of Shibir activists led by their leader Tareq Aziz made the attack on Shakhawat and cut off tendons of his hands and legs.

Cox’s Bazar Hospital’s resident medical officer Shahin Abdur Rahman said, “injury marks were found on different parts of Shakhawat body, especially on wrist, elbow, knee and ankle.
