Woman gang-raped: Road blocked demanding punishment (video)

Students have blocked a road demanding punishment to the accused in the case of gang-rape of a woman at the hostel of Murari Chand (MC) College in Sylhet.

Activists of different organizations and general students demonstrated in front of Murari Chand (MC) College around 12.00pm on Saturday demanding an exemplary punishment to the accused.

Earlier on Friday (September 25) afternoon, a group of BCL leaders and activists forcibly confined a couple who were going to visit the college campus. Later, the woman was gang-raped by BCL men at the hostel of Murari Chand College on Saturday night.

Police rescued the couple around 10:30 pm, but the accused managed to flee from the spot.
