Raihan murder: 3 policemen give deposition

Three members of Police have given deposition in a case filed over torturing Raihan Ahmed to death at Bandar Bazar outpost in Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP). They are: Constable Shamim, Saidur and Delowar.

Judge Md Ziadur Rahman of Sylhet Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court recorded their deposition under section 164 on Monday (October 19) afternoon. They stated the incident as witnesses.

BM Ashraf Ullah Taher, additional deputy commissioner (media) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), confirmed the matter.

These three are not among the seven cops who were temporarily suspended or withdrawal over the incident.

Investigation Officer (IO) of the case PBI Inspector Mahidul Islam produced them before the court for their deposition as witnesses.
