Four murders in Satkhira: 3 more arrested

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police on Tuesday afternoon arrested another three people in connection with the murder of a couple and their two children at Kalaroa in Satkhira.

The detainees are Abdur Razzak, 28, son of Abdus Samad at Khalsi village of Kalaroa upazila, Abdul Malek, 35, son of Abul Kashem, and Asadul Islam. 27, of the same village.

Among them, Razzak and Malek are neighbors of the deceased Shahinur and Asadul Islam is an employee of Shahinur’s hatchery.

Satkhira CID Special Superintendent of Police (SP) Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter.

Four people, including Shahinur Rahman’s brother Raihanul Islam, were arrested in the brutal murder case so far.

On Thursday (October 15) a couple along with their two children were found dead at Khalsi village of Kalaroa upazila.

The deceased were known as Shahinur Rahman, son of Shahajahan Ali of Khalsi village, his wife Sabina Khatun, their son Siam Hossain Mahi and daughter Taslima Sultana.

However, a five-month-old child Maria of the family was found alive.
