5 people go missing in Patuakhali Speedboat capsize

Five people went missing when a speedboat capsized in the Agoonmukha River at Rangabali in Patuakhali on Thursday (October 22).

The deceased were – police constable Mahibullah, 45, NGO staff Mostafiz, 35, Kabir Hossai, 28, worker Hasan, 35, and Imran, 34. 

Rangabali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mashfakur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said, the accident took place this evening when the speedboat carrying 18 passengers sank in the river due to heavy wave.
