One arrested for raping women in Noakhali

A case has been filed against a man and his son for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman for nine months at Eklashpur of Noakhali's Begumganj upazila. Police has arrested Sirajul Islam, 65, the main accused in the case.
The victim filed a case with Begumganj Police Station on Thursday (October 22) afternoon. The other accused in the case is Mahbubur Rahman, 35, son of Sirajul Islam.
According to police sources, Sirajul, son of late Mohammad Ullah at Amanatpur Mahalla in Chaumuhani municipality of Begumganj upazila, raped the woman many times in nine months at various hotels in Noakhali and Dhaka, saying giving a job. Although this situation continued for a long time, she was not given any job. Even he did not get married to her.
Sirajul used to make various excuses when she pressured for marriage. At one stage, Sirajul's son Mahbubur Rahman forcedly took a sign on an unwritten stamp from the woman.
Officer-in-Charge of Begumganj Thana Kamruzzaman Sikder confirmed the news.
