Drug case verdict in just three working days

A court in Khulna has delivered its verdict in a drug case in just three working days, setting a record for the fastest disposal of a case.

Khulna Metropolitan Magistrate Court-4 Judge Dr. Mohammad Atiqus Samad pronounced the verdict around 11.00am on Tuesday.

The court has sentenced the accused to one year imprisonment after six months in two separate sections. The court has fined Tk 10,000 and sentenced another one month rigorous imprisonment for the non-payment of fine.

The accused Sammrat was present in the courtroom when the verdict was announced.
