One held with foreign currencies worth TK 42 lakh at Ctg airport

Customs officials arrested a man along with huge foreign currencies equivalent to TK 42 lakh at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Tuesday night.
The arrestee was identified as Rafikul Islam and later handed over to Patenga Police Station.
Confirming the matter, Md Musa Khan, assistant commissioner of Chattrogram customs, said Rafikul was waiting to board a Dubai-bound flight at the airport.
Acting on a tiff-off, a team of customs officials challenged him and recovered huge foreign currencies equivalent to TK 42 lakh from his luggage.
The foreign currencies involved US dollars and UAE Dirham.
Rafikul was arrested following the seizure of his passport and a money laundering case was filed against him with Patenga Police Station, Musa Khan said.
