Bangladeshi killed in BSF firing in Kurigram

A Bangladeshi youth was reportedly shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the Khatiamari border in Roumari upazila of Kurigram district early Saturday.

The incident took place near international border pillars 1062 and 63 along the Khatiamari border in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Shahinur Rahman Fakir Chand, 28, son of Abul Hasem of Khatiamari village.

Commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-35 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Awal confirmed the news.
