Coastguards raid in Sundarbans: Pirates’ arms, boats seized

Coastguard members of Kaikhali station have seized arms and boats used by pirates after conducting a drive at a canal adjacent to Talpatti island in the Satkhira Range of the Western Sundarbans.

The coastguard members handed over the seized arms and boats to Shyamnagar Police Station on Saturday (November 21) morning.

Bangladesh Coast Guard West Zone Intelligence Officer Sub Lt. M Mominul Islam said members of pirates ‘Selim and Masum Bahini’ fled inside forest after sensing the presence of coastguard members during the drive at a canal adjacent to Talpatti island of the Western Sundarbans.
