Man accused in 18 cases arrested in Sirajganj

Detective Branch (DB) of police in Sirajganj has arrested a person accused in 18 cases along with foreign weapons following a drive in Kamarkhand upazila of the district.

The arrestee is Korban Ali, 38, son of Nur Mohammad of Konabari village in Kamarkhand upazila.

Nazmul Haque Ratan, sub-inspector of Detective Branch (DB) of police in Sirajganj confirmed the news on Wednesday (November 25) morning.

Based on secret information, a team of DB police carried out a drive in Jhaol over bridge area of the upazila on Tuesday night and arrested Korban, Ratan said.

Korban is wanted in 18 cases including arms, dacoity, stealing and narcotics, the police official added.
