6 ‘robbers’ held with firearms in Gazipur

Police arrested six members of an alleged robbers’ gang with firearms from Bashan area in Gazipur metropolitan.

In a press briefing, police on Friday (November 27) confirmed the matter. 

The arrestees are – Arif Hossain, 22, Sohel, 28, Sumon Mia, Mizan, 29, Shahidullah, 24 and Shahjalal, 24.

Gazipur Metropolitan police deputy police commissioner Jakir Hasan said, acting on a secret information that robbers are taking preparation to commit a robbery, police conducted the drive around 9:00pm on Thursday (November 26).

Meanwhile, three lethal weapons, two knives, and an iron rod were seized from the suspected robbers.
