Man to walk gallows for killing infant

A Jamalpur court on Sunday (November 29) sentenced a man to walk the gallows for killing a five-month-old infant.

District and session judge Md Julfikar Ali Khan passed the order.

Jamalpur judge court’s public prosecutor Nirmal Kanti Bhadra confirmed the matter.

Following family dispute, the couple Md. Mostafa and Rozina Begum locked into an altercation On May 20, 2011. At one stage, becoming angry, Mostafa hit his five-month-old baby, leaving the infant dead on the spot.

Later, Rozina filed a murder case with Bakshiganj police station.
