Attack on Hasina’s motorcade: 3 journalists give testimony today

Three journalists will give testimony today (Monday) in a case filed over the attack on a motorcade of the then opposition leader and now Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Satkhira in 2002.
The three journalists were also with the motorcade.
They are Subhash Chowdhury, Satkhira correspondent of NTV and Jugantar, Ramkrishna Chakraborty, Satkhira correspondent of RTV, and Habibur Rahman, editor of daily Satnadi. The prosecution said the three journalists would testimony today.
Their statement will be taken in the court of Satkhira Chief Judicial Magistrate Humayun Kabir at noon.
Meanwhile, a five-member delegation including Additional Attorney General SM Munir from Dhaka arrived in Satkhira two days ago to handle the case.
Satkhira District and Sessions Judge Court Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Abdul Latif confirmed the matter.
Earlier, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court upheld a High Court verdict that cleared the way for a lower court to resume the trial proceedings of the case.
