3 held with 30 gold bars in Jashore

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a raid seized 30 pieces of gold bars, weighing around three kilogram, and arrested three suspected smugglers, from Bahadurpur of Jashore Sadar upazila.

The arrestees are – Ratan Kumar Poddar, 49, Pradip Saha, 55 and Pankaj Dutta.

BGB 49 Battalion commander lieutenant colonel Selim Reza said, acting on a secret information, BGB searched a bus and found the gold bars from the accused.

A case is being filed with Jashore Katwali police station in this regard, he added.
