Teenager saves train from derailment in Joypurhat

A local boy named Sajid Hossain has saved thousands of lives from a potentially horrific train accident in Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat.
According to locals, around 1:00pm on Sunday (December 27), mother of the boy noticed that a portion of the railway track near Khasbaguri area was broken.
Later, following the direction of Sahida Begum, mother of the teenage boy wave a red flag and stopped the Dhaka-bound train.
The tenth-grader said, “I had waved a red t-shirt to signal the train driver. Fortunately, the driver noticed the signal in time and was able to stop the train in time to prevent a disaster.”
Raihan Hossain, a worker of rail-line said, “After getting direction from office, we rushed to the spot and repaired the railway track. The route became normal after a one hour break.”
Confirming the matter, Joypurhat Railway Master Habibur Rahman said that the train was saved from a serious disaster.
