Four including two disabled children killed in Narayanganj fire

At least four people including two disabled children were killed in a fire after 11,000-volt electric wires fell on their house at Purbachal under Rupganj in Narayanganj on Friday night.

The incident took place around 8.45pm. Three died on the spot and one died on way to hospital.

The deceased were identified as Masum Mia, owner of the house, his wife Sima Akhter and their two disabled children Md. Rahmatullah and Md. Abdullah.

Uddipan Bhakta, station officer of Purbachal Multipurpose Fire Service, said the fire broke out when wires of 11,000-volt power line fell on their house. Being informed, three units of Purbachal Fire Service reached the spot and doused the fire.
