Khulna University: One teacher terminated, two removed

A final decision has been taken to terminate a teacher of Khulna University (KHUBI) and remove other two teachers for expressing solidarity with the student movement.
The decision was taken at the 212th meeting of the university syndicate held at 11:00 am on Saturday (January 23).

Earlier, the 211th meeting of the university syndicate held on January 16 decided to punish the three teachers appropriately. However, as per the rules, they were served separate letters as an office order signed by the registrar. The letters seek to know why they will not be terminated and removed.
The three accused teachers replied to the letters by noon on January 21. However, they neither sought appologise nor express sorrow, university sources said.
As per the rules, the 212nd meeting of the syndicate held on Saturday (January 23) made a lengthy review of the 211th syndicate’s decision and the response to the defense given to the three teachers. In the end, the syndicate gave final approval to the decision to terminate and remove them.
