Ferry service on Shimulia-Banglabazar resumes

Ferry service on Shimulia-Banglabazar river route resumed after five and a half hours of disruption due to dense fog.

The service restored at 7:30 am on Wednesday (January 27).

Md Shafayet Ahmed, manager (Trade) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), confirmed the matter.

Earlier, all kinds of ferry services on Shimulia-Banglabazar river route were suspended around 3:00 am on Wednesday to prevent possible accidents due to dense fog.
