Monowara Begum, a BNP councillor candidate nominated for Lalkhan Bazar ward, has boycotted the elections in Chattogram City Corporation (CCC), bringing allegations of vote rigging.
The candidate made the announcement for boycotting the elections around 12:30 pm on Wednesday (January 27).
“There is no polling agent for the BNP candidates in most of the 735 polling stations in the CCC elections. BNP candidates are not being allowed to enter polling stations. Even, she was barred from entering the centre. For this reason, she could not be able to cast her vote,” Monowara alleged.
