Walton stands by that Tuku Mia after risingbd report

Bangladeshi multinational electronics brand Walton’s Magura Plaza has stood by that Tuku Mia with cash assistance after country’s popular online news portal risingbd published a report over misery of his life.
Noticing the report titled ‘Tuku Mia cannot walk for want of a crutch’ published in risingbd, Amit Kumar Saha, manager of Magura Walton Plaza, visited the house of Tuku Mia at Raipur village in Mohammadpur upazila of the district on Wednesday (January 27) afternoon and provided him with the cash assistance.
Earlier, a reader of risingbd bought a crutch for Tuku Mia and handed it over to him after noticing the report although he declined to mention his name.
After receiving cash assistance and new crutch, Tuku Mia said, “He was in serious trouble as his old crutch was broken. It’s a great help for him. Now, I can move at ease with the help of the crutch and can support my family doing some work.”
Rahima Begum, wife of Tuku Mia, said, “All of our family members are very happy after getting cash assistance and new crutch. Now, her husband can help her with financial assistance and we can lead a happy life with our two children.”
