Wall collapse kills two workers in Habiganj

Two construction workers were killed after a wall collapsed on them while working in Deundi Tea Garden in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj on Thursday noon (January 28).

The deceased were known as Azit Baghdi, 40, son of Dinesh Badhdi, and Shawpon Mal, 35, son of Jamil Mal.

Sources said, a group of workers were working to build a house breaking old wall. Meanwhile, a portion of the wall suddenly collapsed on the two.

Later, they were taken to Habiganj Sadar Hospital where duty doctors declared them dead.

Confirming the matter, Chunarughat police station inspector (investigation) Champak Dham said, the bodies were kept at the Sadar Hospital.
