1,778 Rohingyas on way to Bhasanchar

In third phase, 1,778 Rohingyas are going to Bhasanchar, an island around 37 miles off the coast of Bay of Bengal under Hatiya upazila of Noakhali.
In third phase, another 13,00 Rohingyas will go to Bhasanchar on Saturday.
Commodore Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury, project director of the Bhasanchar Rohingya Ashrayan Project, said that Rohingyas, who are willing to go there, are being taken.
Commodore Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury said the navy had taken all necessary steps to take the Rohingyas to Bhasanchar.
The official said four naval ships carrying Rohingyas left Patenga in Chattogram for Bhasanchar around 9.00am on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday, they reached Chattogram from Cox's Bazar, where they have been staying since 2017. They stayed overnight at BF base Zahur in Chattogram.
