Bus-truck collision kills 5 in Sirajganj

At least five people were killed and 14 were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Kamarkhanda in Sirajganj on Tuesday morning.

The accident took place around 8.00am in Konabari area.

Officer-in-Charge of Bangabandhu Bridge West Thana Mosaddek Hossain confirmed the news.

He said a Mymensingh-bound bus collided head-on with a north-Bengal bound bus, leaving four dead on the spot and 15 injured. Another died on way to hospital.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

The injured have been admitted to Sirajganj General Hospital.
