Writer Mushtaq Ahmed dies

Writer Mushtaq Ahmed, who had been locked up under the controversial Digital Security Act for over nine months, has died at Kashimpur High Security Jail-3 in Gazipur.
Doctors declared him dead around 8.15am after he was taken to the hospital around 8.15am on Thursday.
Gias Uddin, acting superintendent of Kashimpur High Security Jail, said Mushtaq Ahmed fell sick in the evening. Immediately, he was taken to the jail hospital, and later he was shifted to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital. There, doctors declared him dead.
He was denied bail six times.
