Truck hits auto-rickshaw, leaving its driver killed in Netrokona

A truck on Sunday hit an auto-rickshaw at Hamidpur of Purbadhola in Netrokona, leaving its driver killed.

The deceased was identified as Sultan Ahmed, 38, son of late Abdul Hekim of Tulapaboi village of the upazila.

Md Ferdous Alam, In-Charge of Shyamganj Police Investigation Centre, confirmed the matter.

Quoting locals, he said, “A Birishiri-bound truck hit the auto-rickshaw of Sultan when he was heading towards Shyamganj around 4:15 am, leaving him dead on the spot.”
