Former UP Chairman killed in Satkania

Unidentified assailants killed a former union parishad chairman at Keochiya union of Satkania upazila in Chattogram.

The deceased was known as Abdul Haque, 90.

Satkania police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter on Monday (March 1).

Quoting locals, the OC said, the UP chairman lived in his village home alone. Family members of him live in town area. On Sunday night, suspected robbers entered into his home and killed him.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chattogram medical morgue for autopsy.
