No water in Hili Hospital, patients face sufferings

Patients are facing huge sufferings due to lack of water in the women's ward of Hakimpur (Hili) Health Complex in Dinajpur.
On Monday (March 1) morning, Hakimpur Health and Family Planning Officer Touhid Al Hassan confirmed the matter.
The aggrieved patients complained that the hospital did not have water for two to three days. Because of this they are suffering a lot.
Aklima Begum, a patient of the women’s ward, said “We are not getting water in this ward for two to three days. We are in trouble for a few days. So, I am going home today”.
Kahinur Begum said, ‘I am a sick person. I am to go down again and again for water. I am to go to another ward’s bathrooms.
Paribanu, daughter of the patient, said, “A man of the hospital said it would take 10 to 15 days to get water.
Health and Family Planning Officer told risingbd that the hospital's big pump has been burnt. Repairing work is underway, hopefully it will be completed within one and two days.
