Madrasa teacher with hands, legs tied found dead

A madrasa teacher with hands and legs tied was found dead at Sadar upazila in Jhenidah on Monday (March 01) morning.

The deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain Sujon, 32, teacher of local Boro Bari Nurani Ebtedayee Madrasa and son of Abul Khair of neighbouring Holidhani village.

Relatives claimed that he was murdered in planned way over the madrasa and buying land and then hanged the body.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Jhenidah Abdul Bashar said, “Sujon, as a tenant, used to reside at a home of local Shariful Islam and live alone. Neighbours found him hanging in his living room in the morning and informed the matter to police.”

“It might be a killing. It could be said clearly after investigation that who and why killed him,” he added.
