One arrested over journalist Muzakkir murder

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has arrested a youth in case filed over journalist Borhan Uddin Muzakkir at Companyganj upazila of Noakhali.

The arrestee was known as Belal Uddin, son of Ibrahim of Charfakira area. He was arrested from ward no 1 of Charfakira union parishad of the upazila on Sunday (March 7).
Muzakkir sustained bullet while performing professional duties during the clash happened between supporters of Basurhat municipality mayor Quader Mirza and former upazila chairman Mizanur Rahman Badal on February. He succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment following day.

On February 23, his father Noab Ali Master filed a case with Companyganj Police Station accusing unnamed people. Later, the case was handed over to PBI for investigation.
