SI committed suicide: Police

A sub-inspector (SI) of police has committed suicide by shooting in the head with a pistol in Pabna.

The deceased Hasan Ali, SI of Ataikula police station in Pabna, committed suicide on the roof of the police station on the night of Saturday (March 20).

Pabna additional superintendent of police Masud Alam confirmed the matter this morning.

Masud Alam said, “Hasan Ali was found dead on the roof of the police station. The SIM card of his mobile phone was found broken there.”

It is suspected that an affair-related issue might be the reason behind his suicide, he added.
