Fire breaks out at Rohingya camp in Bangladesh

A devastating fire broke out in the Rohingya camps in Balukhali camp in Cox's Bazar on Monday (March 22).
On information, four fire units rushed to the spot and trying to bring the blaze under control.
The fire originated at the W-8 block of the camp around 3 pm and spread to 8-H, 8, and 10 blocks rapidly.
Seven units from Ukhiya, Ramu, and Cox’s Bazar stations rushed to the spot, said, Rohingya Camp In-Charge Tanzim.
Mohammad Shamsud Douza, additional commissioner of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commission said fire service officials, policemen from Ukhiya, APBn personnel are trying to control the blaze.
Hundreds of shanties were gutted in the fire. The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
