Launch capsize: 26 bodies recovered so far

Bodies of 26 people were recovered till Monday noon after a launch capsized in the Shitalakkhya river in Narayanganj on Sunday evening.
Many more have still remained missing in connection with the capsize.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) informed this at a press conference on Monday noon.
The launch named ‘Sabit Al Hasan’ was pulled out near the bank of the river around 12.20pm.
The launch left Narayanganj terminal for Munshiganj loaded with about 50 passengers around 5:56pm on Sunday and it sank near the third Shitalakkhya Bridge in Char Syedpur area after being hit by a "coaster tanker" around 6.15pm.
A four-member committee has been formed to probe into the accident.
