Four burnt in gas cylinder explosion in Bogura

Four people were burnt in an incident of gas cylinder explosion at Mohipur colony area of Sherpur of Bogura on Friday (April 16).

Being informed, firemen rushed to the spot and rescued them. Later, the burnt were sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital, Bogura.

The burnt were known as Jyotsna Begum, 30, wife of Rasel Imran, Helena Begum, 48, wife of Anowar Hossain, Amena Begum, 42, wife of late Motahar Hossain, and Nuruzzaman Noyon, 32, son of Anowar Hossain. They are residents of Mohipur colony village.

Ratan Hossain, fire officer of Sherpur upazila Fire Service and Civil Defence Station, confirmed the matter.

He said, “The incident happened while setting up a new cylinder.”
