140 returnees from India sent to quarantine in Satkhira

Some 140 Bangladeshis, who returned from India through Benapole border in Jashore on Wednesday evening, have been sent to institutional quarantine in Satkhira to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
They have been kept at three hotels-Hotel Uttara, Tiger Plus and Hotel Al Kashem-in the town.
Satkhira Deputy Commissioner SM Mostafa Kamal confirmed the news.
The passports of everyone have been kept at the Sadar police station. All of them hail from different districts of the country including Satkhira. Many of them went to India for treatment said that they are now in financial difficulties.
