Kid’s body recovered from neighbour’s kitchen 3 days after going missing

Police have recovered the body of a one-and-a-half-year-old child digging the floor of a kitchen belonging to its neighbour three days after the child went missing in Daulatpur upazila of Kushtia.

The body of that child was recovered from the kitchen of a person named Chhoper Mal at Darepara village in the upazila around 12:30pm on Monday (May 10).

The child was identified as Arafat, son of Shoriful Islam, hailing from the same village.

Confirming the news, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatpur police station Nasir Uddin said Kohinur, wife of Chhoper Mal, has been detained in this connection.

The child went missing around 9:00am on Friday (May 7) last.
