3 killed in Chapainawabganj road accident

Three people were killed and six others injured as a truck hit a Votvoti (locally known as three-wheel vehicle) in Nachole upazila of Chapainawabganj on Saturday (May 15) morning.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nachole Police Station Selim Reza confirmed the incident.

The deceased were identified as Rezaul Karim, Tosikul Islam and Alauddin Haque.

Local sources said a truck loaded with paddy was going to Nachole from Gomostapur upazila of the district. The truck hit a Votvoti coming from opposite direction when it reached at Dhansura area, leaving the three people dead and six others injured.

On information, members of the fire service rushed to the spot and recovered them. Later, the injured were admitted to Nachole upazila health complex.
