Lightning strike kills 4 in Chapainawabganj

At least four people were killed in separate lightning strikes in two upazilas of Chapainawabganj on Monday (May 24).

The incident took place at Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila and Gomostapur Upazila from noon to afternoon.

Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station OC Mozaffar Hossain and Gomostapur Police Station Dilip Kumar Das confirmed the news.

The deceased were known as Al Amin, 12, son of Shariful Islam of Sabania Para under Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazial, Robiul Islam, 26, son of Enamul Haque of Nomo Horma village of the same upazila, Khushi, 13, daughter of Bipul of Hujrapur village of Gomostapur upazila and Shahida Khatun, 13, daughter of Nazmul Hossain of the same upazila.
