2 killed in Netrokona Road crash

At least two people were killed in a road accident on Netrokona-Mohanganj road in Singherbangla area of Sadar upazila on Friday (June 11).

The deceased were known as Abul Bashar Fakir, 30, son of Abul Kashem, and Siddikur Rahman, 45, son of late Taizul Uddin.

Sources said, an auto-rickshaw was heading towards Barhatta from Netrokona this evening. Meanwhile, a stone-laden truck hit the auto-rickshaw from the opposite direction, leaving four people injured.

Later, locals send the injured to Sadar Hospital where the two people died under treatment.

Netrokona additional police super (Sadar Circle) Morshed Khan confirmed the matter.
