Triple murder in Sylhet: Local weapons used in chopping

Police have recovered the bodies of a woman and her two children from a house at Binnakandi village in Fatehpur union under Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet district.

Husband of that woman Hifjur Rahman, who was found injured, has been admitted to a hospital.

The dead bodies were recovered on Wednesday (June 16) morning.

The deceased were identified as Alima Begum, 35, husband of Hifjur Rahman and their son Mizan, 9 and daughter Anisa, 4.

Confirming the news, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gowainghat Police Station Abdul Ahad said da and boti (local weapons) used in chopping.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Sylhet Detective Police Pradeep Kumar Singh told risingbd that: “The three members of a family were killed by some unknown miscreants on Tuesday night. A person named Hifjur Rahman with injury has been admitted to a hospital.”

The reason behind the triple murder could not be known immediately.
