5 killed in Chattogram road crashes

Five people including woman and children have been killed in separate road accidents in Steel mill area of Patenga and Shikalbaha of Karnaphuli in Chattogram.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost ASI Shilbrata Barua said, two buses collided in Shikalbaha around 3:30pm, leaving two people dead on the spot.

Besides, EPZ police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Utpal Barua said, a passenger bus hit a rickshaw in Steel mill area and tried to flee the scene around 12:00pm. Meanwhile, the speedy bus rammed some jaywalkers, leaving three people including a woman and two children dead on the spot.
