Polls violence kills one in Barisal

A person named Mouze Ali Bridha, 65, was killed in a clash centering union parishad election in Gaurnadi of Barishal.
Sources said, the clash took place in Kamlapur government primary school of Khanjapur union of the upazila on Monday (June 21).
Confirming the matter, Barishal Range DIG SM Aktaruzzaman said, an adolescent went to the voting center. Meanwhile, voting officials challenged him. There was an altercation centering the issue which triggered a clash. At one stage, the victim received injuries.
Later, he was taken to Gaurnadi upazila health complex where he died under treatment.
