18 more die of coronavirus at RMCH

18 more people have died from coronavirus infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Wednesday (June 23) to 8:00am today, Thursday (June 24).

Of the 18 deaths, eight were coronavirus positive and the remaining 10 died of coronavirus-like symptoms, Shamim Yazdani said.

Of the dead, 13 were in Rajshahi district, one in Chapainawabganj and four in Naogaon, he said.

A total of 263 people have, so far, died at the corona unit of the hospital in the last 24 days starting from June 01.
