21 more die of Covid-19, symptoms at RMCH

21 more people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Monday (July 26) to 8:00am today, Tuesday (July 27).

Of the 21 deaths, ten people died of Covid-19 infections and the rest eleven died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus.

Of the dead, seven were in Rajshahi district, five in Pabna, four in Naogaon, three in Natore and one each in Chapainawabganj and Jhenaidah, he added.

With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 464 in 27 days of this month.

A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
