19 more die of Covid-19, symptoms at RMCH

19 more people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Monday (August 02) to 8:00am today, Tuesday (August 03).

Of the 19 deaths, seven people died of Covid-19 infections, one was Covid-19 negative while the remaining 11 died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus, he said.

Of the dead, seven were in Rajshahi district, four in Chapainawabganj, five in Natore, two in Naogaon and one in Kushtia, he added.

Mentionable, a total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June and 535 people in July.
