17 more die at Mymensingh hospital Covid unit

A total of 17 people have died from coronavirus and coronavirus-like symptoms at the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours.

The deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Monday (August 02) to 8:00am today, Tuesday (August 03).

Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the Covid unit, confirmed the news.

Besides, some 448 people have tested positive for the virus over the same period, he said.

Among the deaths, six died of coronavirus infections while the remaining 11 died of coronavirus-like symptoms, he added.
