14 more die of Covid-19, symptoms at RMCH

14 more people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Tuesday (August 03) to 8:00am today, Wednesday (August 04).

Of the 14 deaths, four people died of Covid-19 infections, while the remaining ten died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus, he said.

Of the dead, four were in Rajshahi district, four in Natore, three in Naogaon, one each in Chapainawabganj, Chuadanga and Kushtia, he added.

Mentionable, a total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June and 535 people in July.
