34 more Covid-19 patients die in Khulna division

Khulna division reported 34 more coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the division to 2,554.

The deaths were reported between 8:00am on Wednesday (August 04) and 8:00am on Thursday (August 05).

Besides, some 817 new Covid-19 cases were detected in the division over the same period, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 97,693.

Meanwhile, a total of 75,320 people have made recoveries from the virus so far.

Dr Jashim Uddin Howlader, divisional director of Health, confirmed this information.

According to the office of divisional director of health, a maximum nine people died of coronavirus infections in Kushtia district, six in Jashore, four each in Khulna and Meherpur, three each in Jhenaidah and Magura, two each in Bagerhat and Narail and one in Chuadanga.
